Experience, Personal Service, Reputation.
I have been succesfully defending criminal cases in Eastern Idaho for over 20 years. I have significant jury trial experience and have defended thousands of DUI cases, and other cases ranging from Domestic Violence, Drug Trafficking, to misdemeanor marijuana and speeding tickets. I give every client my cell phone number so they can always text or call with any concerns or questions. I defend every client like I’m defending myself and everyone gets treated with decency and respect. Everyone makes mistakes and everybody deserves a second chance. Do your research and ask around!
I graduated high school in Arco, Idaho in 1992. I went to college and obtained my bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science from the University of Idaho in Moscow Idaho in 1997. I obtained my Law Degree from the Northwestern School of Law at Lewis and Clark College, Portland Oregon in 1999. I started my law career as the judicial clerk for the Honorable Brent Moss in Rexburg, Idaho. Then I moved to become a public defender for Bonneville County, Idaho. I left after 5 years as the Chief Deputy Public Defender to start my own law practice. I have had my own law practice since 2005 specializing in defending dui and criminal defense cases. I take cases all over eastern Idaho including Idaho Falls, Pocatello, Blackfoot, Rigby, Rexburg, St. Anthony, Driggs, Salmon, Challis, Arco, American Falls, Soda Springs, Preston, Malad and Montpelier.
I spend my free time hunting in the fall with my love being Archery Elk hunting. I am in the Pope and Young record book for archery bull elk. I also hunt antelope and deer. I hunt upland birds such as pheasant in North Dakota, chukar in Idaho and quail in Arizona. I hunt big game in Idaho, Montana, Wyoming and Utah.
I spend the winter snow skiing including backcountry skiing. In the Spring, I switch to mountain biking and running. I have run many ultramarathons and am working toward my goal of running 100 miles in under 24 hours. To date my longest race has been 38 miles with 11,000 feet of elevation gain and descent. I have run the grand canyon and numerous other ultra marathons including the Spitfire, Standhope 60 k, River of No Return 55k, Harriman 50k, Antelope Island Buffalo Run, Scout Mountain, and the Idaho Falls Marathon.
In the summer I spend most of my free time fly fishing on the South Fork of the Snake River.
